Geraldine Faye Parks went for her final rest on July 25, 2025. She lived a full life of laughter and serving others. Geraldine spent her life in service to others as a pastor's wife (Francis) and schoolteacher. She impacted the life of many of her former students, fellow educators in Blanchester and members of the churches she served. Their service to the Lord included churches near Warrensville, West Virginia, Jeffersonville; Indiana, Jackson, Kentuckey and several Friends churches in the Wilmington, Ohio area. Geraldine enjoyed work trips to Jamaica and Belize. She served many roles. As a Parks cousin stated "Aunt Jerry was a calm, loving presence amid loud arguing Parks' boys.
Geradine was born on December 27, 1934, to her parents Dallas and Esther (Meadors) Rooper.
Her family lived a quiet life in Teays, West Virginia. Her siblings included: Troy (Patsy) Rooper, Louise (Gordon) Johnson, Elmer (Mary) Rooper and Kenny (Barb) Rooper. Geraldine enjoyed nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Holidays were Geraldine's favorite time of the year. She enjoyed gathering all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren for fellowship and fun around the table. Family could always count on Momaw to be there for them no matter what time of day or night.
Geraldine leaves behind 3 children; Judy (Dan) Santee, Michael (Yong) Parks and Timothy (Ena) Parks. 8 grandchildren: Jon (Caryn) Santee, James Santee, Shawn (Tiffany) Parks, Eugenia Parks, Denroy Parks, Josh Parks, Jannine and Jenna Gillette. Great Grandchildren: Tyler Santee, Nick Santee, Caleb Santee, Kailin Parks, Marlee Parks, Orlando Parks and Malachi Parks.
Burial will be August 2, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. Geraldine will be resting near her family and childhood home near Hurricane, West Virginia at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery (3001 Mt. Vernon Rd. Hurricane, WV 25526). Dennis Delany will officiate. The pallbearers will be her grandkids, Jon Santee, James Santee, Shawn Parks, Eugenia Parks, Denroy Parks and Josh Parks.
A Memorial Service will be held at Cuba Friends Meeting on August 3, 2025, at 3 p.m.

Judy, my condolences to you and your entire family. Your Mom was one very sweet lady and I´m not sure why she let us hang out together since we were always into something, just having fun and not a care in the world. But we knew she would always be there for us. Loved her.
