Judge Lepley was one of the kindest and most loving people I have ever met in my life. I supported her at DC Superior Court as her Judicial Administrative Assistant. We have had some of the most amazing conversations.

She was so thoughtful and considerate and believed in giving people second chances. Judge cared about everyone but her mom and dad were everything to her.

When she would go to West Virginia to visit her parents she would come back with 12 pies of various flavors for the office. Those pies were delicious.

Judge was not only my boss, but she was my friend. I wish I had made the trip to see her after she moved from DC. We kept in touch often and I had intentions of taking a trip one weekend me and my puppy.

She was so supportive to me in matters where I had to advocate for myself and would chime in to show her support. We texted each other about a month ago and she said that she was doing well.

When she retired I would still call her "Judge" and she would correct me and say call me Diane. It was a habit hard to break. She will surely be missed. I love you Judge

I am an Attorney in DC and worked with Diane when she was a practicing attorney and a Judge. She was a real advocate and mentor. She often handled the most difficult cases with grace and a wonderful sense of humor. She will be sorely missed.
