CABLE – Vanna LynNette Heath, age 72, of Cable passed away on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023, in her residence.
LynNette was born Nov. 10, 1950, in Urbana, Ohio, to the late Phil and Polly Woodruff. She graduated from West Liberty-Salem High School in 1968. She then went on to graduate from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1972. She began teaching at Urbana South Elementary for eight years before moving to West Liberty-Salem to teach for another 24 years. She completed her Master of Education at Wright State University in 1997. She retired in 2012.
LynNette advised the dairy goats' 4-H club at the Champaign County Fair for many years. She enjoyed the special times with her family and friends showing dairy goats. LynNette continued to share her love of farming throughout her life. She also loved working outside in her yard, gardening and mowing in her free time along with cooking and discovering new books to read.
LynNette is survived by her loving husband, Ronald Heath; daughter, Gail Stokes; son, Andy (Mandy Westfall) Heath; grandchildren, Andrea Stokes, Ava Heath, Max Heath; a sister, Janine Jones; brothers-in-law, Gary Heath, Rex Heath, Richard Heath, Jeff Heath; sisters-in-law, Mary Sharpin, Peggy Lillie, Julie Barger, Pam Heath.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Kingscreek Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Liberty-Salem Elementary School to provide books to students during their annual literacy night. Contributions may be mailed to 7208 U.S. 68, West Liberty, Ohio 43357.
