URBANA – Peggy Lyons, 65, of Urbana passed away unexpectedly due to an automobile accident on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio.
Peggy was born on March 2, 1958, in Sidney, Ohio to Mildred Frazier.
Peggy attended Urbana High School. Following high school, she went to work for W.B. Marvin, which is now Thermwell Products, for 30-plus years. Peggy had a passion for finding hidden treasures through Goodwill, thrift stores and yard sales. Peggy's grandchildren were the light of her life. She adored them with all her heart and soul.
She was a loving, caring, dedicated woman who always had a warm and welcoming presence. Peggy was always everyone's first call. Whenever they needed anything her arms and doors were always open. Peggy had a courage unmatched by anyone. She never backed down from a challenge and always defended herself and her loved ones with fierce determination. She was a kind and brave woman who will be greatly missed by her friends and loving family.
Peggy is survived by her mother; her other half Arlin VanHoose; daughter, Darcy (Shane) Williams; son, William "Billy" Lyons; brothers, Gene Watts, Charlie Watts, Bud Watts; sisters, Bev Stegall, Dr. Brenda Vander May; grandchildren, Brett, Mallory, Gage, Travis, Alyssa, Aaron, Morgan; great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Isaac, Kash, Willow, Cassady, Carson, Connor, Wiatt, Laney; special friends Suzzie and Debbie.
Peggy is preceded in death by Grandma and Grandpa Marshall.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, in VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, Ohio.
