Carole Davis Obituary

Carole A. Davis, 84, of Natrona Heights, formerly of Apollo, passed away Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born Sept. 4, 1939 in Apollo, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Steele) Davis. She was a graduate of Apollo High School, Class of 1957. She took classes for stenography and later attended Franco Beauty Academy, where she became an instructor. Carole owned and operated her own hair salon called Carole's Classics and then worked at Marie Querio's Beauty Salon, Leechburg, for several years. She was a personal caregiver up until a couple years ago. Carole was a member of North Apollo Church of God. She devoted her life to her six children. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana M. Klingensmith; granddaughter, Nicole Branson-Wood; sister, Darlene A. Stankus; brother-in-law, Herman Stankus. Carole is survived by her children, Robert (Christine) Lockard, of Texas, Theresa (Charlie) Canaan, of Leechburg, Tracy (Michael) Lockard-Branson, of Indiana, David Lockard, of Natrona Heights, Micheal (Melissa) Klingensmith, of Sarver; grandchildren, Douglas (Michelle) Lockard, Trevor Wehner; great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Anthony, Liam, Elizabeth, Emily, Waylon. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of the service, Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating.
