Carol Jones Obituary

Carol E. Jones, 85, of Brackenridge, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023, at Bel Air Nursing Home, Lower Burrell. She was born Dec. 10, 1937, in Tarentum, to the late Guy O. and Roxie (Doverspike) Torrence Sr. She lived her entire life in Brackenridge. Carol was the borough clerk for Brackenridge for 25 years and also worked at PPG in Creighton. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brackenridge, and a former Rainbow Girl. She was a 1955 graduate of Har Brack High School and enjoyed Pittsburgh sports. Carol especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Richard L. (Barbara) Jones, Robert A. (Kim) Jones, Ronald K. Jones and Ralph G. "Sam" (Nicole) Jones, all of Brackenridge, and Cynthia M. (Shawn) Ricchuito, USAF, retired, Mississippi. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Ross, of Natrona Heights. Besides her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Robert K. Jones, in 2008, and her siblings, Guy O. Torrence Jr., Martha Jane Torrence and Mary E. McBee. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 6 p.m. Saturday in DUSTER FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Burial will be private in Mt.
