Ralph Bullock Obituary

BULLOCK, Mr. Ralph Thurman, Jr., age 72, of Deltaville, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Thurman Bullock Sr., Mardell B. Littleton; and his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary White Bullock. Ralph is survived by his daughter, Marcia Bullock Luton; son-in-law, Benjamin Luton; grandchildren, Madeline and Wyatt Luton; and his sisters, Toni Gaye Horrell, Ruth Kramer, Dolores B. Groat and Pamela Hall.

Ralph attended the University of Richmond, excelled in his 30 years of business, ending his career as the Senior VP and CIO of Trigon Blue Cross Blue Shield of Virginia. Ralph's second life began in retirement as a licensed captain where he owned and operated a charter fishing business in Deltaville, Va. Ralph loved to cook for friends and family. He often hosted gatherings for stews and holiday feasts. He and his late wife, Mary, were big community supporters giving their time and resources to the local Fire department, Rescue squad and Hands Across Middlesex to name a few. Ralph was a kind, patient and a giving man who took great pleasure in the success of others. He loved his family most of all. The world is a better place because Ralph Bullock shared his life and love with us all. Until we met again!

The family will hold a private Celebration of Life in Deltaville, Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department or the Lower Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad.
