Judith Jamieson Obituary

JAMIESON, Judith Pleasants, passed away on October 23rd at the age of 78 after a long illness with Alzheimer's. She was born in Richmond, Virginia and was the daughter of Bessie Ann Foster and Snowden Shelton Pleasants. She is survived by her husband Malcolm Eggleston Jamieson, her daughter, Judith Cary Jamieson, her son, Malcolm Pleasants Jamieson, and her grandsons, Malcolm Henry Jamieson, Gordon Jamieson Miller, Matheson Walker Jamieson.

She was an honor student throughout her academic life and attended Collegiate school, Mary Baldwin College and completed her Masters at North Carolina State. She loved working with children in the field of education and child development and had professional roles in the Richmond school systems and as a clinical psychologist at the Kriegman Clinic. In addition she enjoyed many years creating in the ceramic studio at Visual Arts Center and was an avid gardener for much of her life. In her final years despite illness, she was able to enjoy quiet moments in the country with family enjoying living in the moment.

A memorial service will be held at Westover Church, Charles City, Virginia on November 7th at 1 p.m.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her honor to the Visual Arts Center of Richmond Virginia. https://www.visarts.org/give/.

Jamie, Very sorry to heard. I visited Berkeley on Garden Week this spring and was impressed by the meticulous condition of house and grounds. Guess it shows her touch. Keep it up, but don´t let the Boy Scouts help shear sheep!
