The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at the Mechanicsville Chapel of the Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Graveside services will be private. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Broadus Church, 5351 Pole Green Rd., Mechanicsville, VA 23116.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. It is hard to believe Chuck has been gone for a year now. Nothing is the same and it has been difficult to survive without husband and dad, but strength comes from above.

It is with sadness that I learned of Chucks passing. He always had a smile and a hug when we saw each other and always a gentleman. May God give you comfort and peace knowing that he is playing in the Lord´s orchestra in Heaven.

It is with sadness that I read of Chucks passing. He was a generous person as well as a true southern gentleman and a lovely and patient man. A rare combination in todays world. He will be missed by so many. Wishing Jean comfort during this trying time.

In the last 2 days, I have spoken to a lot of Chuck´s colleagues from our times in the mortgage business. A lot of fond memories exchanged of a great friend. And Jean, he was always thinking about you.
