Beverly Pugh Obituary

PUGH, Beverly "Anne" Carmack, of Richmond, VA., passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023. Anne was born in Phoenix AZ on Dec. 29, 1931, and raised in Tucson.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward B. and Bertha Carmack, brother Edward B. Carmack Jr., nephew Douglas Carmack, and husband William F. Pugh. She is survived by her daughters Mary W. Moeller, Diane C. Wall, and beloved cat Emma.

Anne was a truly gifted woman of many talents and accomplishments. She was an equestrian, artist, writer, avid reader and could sew just about anything. When her daughters were growing up, she was very involved and supportive of their activities such as girl scouts, horseback riding and ballet. She loved nature and all animals especially cats, horses and a few select pups. She had a delightful sense of humor till the end.

After her marriage to "Bill" Pugh, she moved to Raleigh N.C. and worked at Meredith College for nearly 20 years. While at Meredith she was also a student, graduating at age 50, as an English major. She then fulfilled another vocation and was ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church, and served in both N.C. and VA.
