Ashlynn Nester Obituary

NESTER, Ashlynn Brynne Hynson, 29, of Roanoke, Va., formerly of Montpelier, Va., passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband, Kyle Nester; her parents, Devan and Tammy Hynson; her brothers, Tristan Hynson (Diana) and Brennan Hynson; her grandparents, Hubert and Judy Shortt and Sondra Bentley; her in-laws, Paul and Sandy Nester and Mark Nester. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and many, many friends. She was preceded by her grandfather David Hynson, Sr. Ashlynn loved cooking, music, growing vegetables and raising chickens. She loved hiking with Kyle and her dog Leroy. She also loved her cats Taco and Binks. In middle and high school, she danced at the Richmond Ballet. She participated in the youth group at Berea Baptist Church. She attended JMU for three years, where she met Kyle and followed him to the Air Force base where he was stationed in Omaha, Nebraska. After Kyle left the Airforce, they returned to Virginia in Roanoke and were married two years ago in a beautiful ceremony at a vineyard in Harrisonburg. Ashlynn was so loved by her family and friends and will always be in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 29 at Berea Baptist Church, 15421 Pouncey Tract Road Rockville, Va. 23146. The family will receive friends starting at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
