Kay Edmonds

February 28, 1935 – January 25, 2025

In Loving Memory of Kay Joanne Edmonds.

Kay, 89, passed away on January 25, 2025 in Sacramento, CA.

Kay was born on February 28, 1935 in Rochester, MN to Virginia and Orville Wrought.

Kay is survived by her daughters Cindy McMorrow of Gilbert, AZ and Maxanne Adkison of Sacramento, CA; grandsons Benjamin McMorrow of Petaluma, CA and Timothy McMorrow of Reno, NV and 2 great-granddaughters. Kay also leaves her sister Judy Hartsock and niece Michele Hutchens of Hannibal, MO and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Kay grew up in Wilmington, CA where she began a 35-year career in the legal field. Kay then moved her family to San Jose and went to work for famed trial lawyer James Boccardo until she retired and moved to her beloved Grass Valley, CA. Kay stayed active working at the Nevada County courthouse until age 79.

In her leisure time, Kay loved to travel; had a talent for crafting and was a faithful fan of the San Jose Sharks. Notably, Kay devoted much of her life to the fraternal organization of Eastern Star where she enjoyed 50 years of fellowship.

Kay was a dear friend and colleague. We shared many happy hours in eastern star. After my move to Oklahoma, we kept in touch on the phone. I miss her terribly. I thank God for all the happy moments we shared.
