Judith McNary Obituary

Judith Gail McNary, affectionately known to many as Judy, was born on September 27, 1939, in Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 29, 2023. A loving and thoughtful woman, Judy's life was a testament of her love for her family, her dedication to her work, and her joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid gardener who filled her yard with beautiful blooms, a hobbyist cruiser along with her husband who both relished the tranquil serenity of the sea, and a dedicated holiday enthusiast who never missed an opportunity to begin her Christmas shopping early.

Judy's professional life was as fulfilling as her personal life. She initially worked for Eastern Airlines at Logan Airport and then as an invoice auditor for Zayre Corporation. She later found her calling as a Customer Service Representative for the former Nimiroski Insurance Agency in Attleboro, from where she retired after many years of dedicated service. As a graduate of Attleboro High School Class of 1957 and a lifelong resident of Attleboro, she was a proud member of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Attleboro.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband of almost 64 years, James McNary Jr. of Attleboro, and their loving children, Bonnie Jette and her husband Stephen of Attleboro, and James McNary and his wife Susan of Attleboro. She was a proud grandmother to Emily Oliver of Lake Stevens, WA, Erin Jette and Seanna Lavoie both Attleboro, Renee McNary of Nashua, NH, and Jaime McNary of New Brighton, PA, and a great-grandmother to Logan Lavoie of Attleboro. She also leaves behind her sisters, Cheryl Thibeault of Attleboro and Lori Gormley of Hudson, NH and many nieces and nephews. Judy's life was made even richer by the love and respect she shared with her family; a bond that will forever remain unbroken.

She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Myrtle Spencer, and her brother, Charles "Chuck" Spencer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 4 -6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral service will be on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, 565 Mt. Hope Street, North Attleboro.
