Gail Grant Obituary

Gail LaDue Grant, 86, of Raleigh, North Carolina, passed away September 4, 2023, with her family by her side.

Born Dorothy Gail LaDue to the late Charles and Dorothy (Pierce) LaDue on December 23, 1936, in Brockton, Massachusetts, she was preceded in death by her loving husband David (2010), sons Tim (2017) and Steve (2020), and sisters Joyce Ann LaDue (1940) and Geraldine Markovitz (2014).

Gail graduated Valedictorian from Wrentham High School in 1954 before receiving her Bachelor's from University of Massachusetts at Amherst (1958) and her Master's in Early Childhood Education from Connecticut State in Danbury. She married the love of her life David Robert Grant on November 9, 1958, at Trinity Episcopal Church, in Wrentham, MA where she was baptized, confirmed, and continued her membership throughout her life.

Gail was a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs in MA, NY, and NC for over 40 years. She was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in Putnam Valley, NY and Cary, NC even receiving the Silver Beaver Award. She and David owned and operated Kildaire Management Company in Cary, NC for 19 years before settling into retirement. Gail enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, hosting events, and collecting Byers Choice Carolers.

She is survived by three sons, 15 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Wrentham, MA, at 4 P.M. on October 28, 2023, with burial to follow at Wrentham Center Cemetery.
