Carol A. Fields

Carol Ann Fields, 85, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at her residence.

Carol was born May 28, 1938, in Berne, Indiana, to Francis and Ruth (Eicher) Moser. She married Jack Fields on Aug. 16, 1957, and he preceded her in death Dec. 23, 2020.

Carol graduated from Bluffton High School. She retired from Cooper Tire in Findlay where she was a secretary. Carol was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She enjoyed working outside, going on walks, baking pies, gardening, and restoring furniture. Carol and Jack loved going to dinner and their door was always open to their family and friends. She enjoyed cooking for others and when you came to visit, Carol insisted on making sure you ate. Carol and her husband spent over 25 years wintering in Ft. Myers, Florida, where they made many friends and enjoyed entertaining them with fish fries. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol's survivors include three children, Bruce A. Fields of Bluffton, Bob (Barbara) Fields of Bluffton, and Susie (Jeff) Campbell of Bluffton; four grandchildren, Ashley (Jon) Lucas, Cody (Robin) Fields, Scott Campbell, and Rachel (Mike Smith) Campbell; six great-grandchildren, Amya Campbell, Cali Smith, Tavon Smith, Jordan Lucas, Trey Lucas, and Jack Fields; and two stepgreat-grandsons, Javion Smith and Jett Morrison.

Carol was also preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Moser.

Carol's services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton, with Cody Fields officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Bridge Hospice, or the Equestrian Therapy Program in Cridersville.
