Marian Gautreaux Obituary

Marian Gautreaux died on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the age of 99. She was a native of Maui, Hawaii born on July 8, 1924. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. "Maw maw" loved gardening and surrounding herself with beautiful flowers and plants. Her family time was precious and cooking was a passion. She was proceeded in death by parents, Manuel and Carrie Lopes, husband, Herman M. Gautreaux Sr., son-in-law, R. Dennis Delatorre, grandchildren, Tyler Pate, Amanda Walton, and Shari Melon. She is survived by children, Dianne G. Delatorre, Herman M. Gautreaux Jr. (Claudette), Edward J. Gautreaux (Glenda), Carol G. Orihuela (Ronnie), Wendall Gautreaux (Mary), and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Denham Springs, 10:00 am, on Thursday, October 26, 2023 with burial following at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Herman M. Gautreaux Jr., Edward J, Gautreaux, Wendall Gautreaux, Brian Delatorre, Justin Pate, Nicholas Gautreaux, Michael Gautreaux, Louis Gautreaux.
