Bernice Christensen Obituary
March 12, 1923 - November 1, 2023
Born 100 yrs. ago in San Francisco and still residing in San Francisco, Bernice was maternally a direct descendant of California Pioneer Francisco Xavier Sepulveda, 1781 Expedition; and paternally, the Granddaughter of Tuolumne County, Sonora, Calif., Constable, Lawrence Garaghty, 1891. She was married to the late Elmer Christensen, mother of Jim (Jan), Diane, Nancy (deceased), Bill (Shirley); Grandmother of Terry (Brian), Jeff (Yadira), Paul (Myca), Mike (Emma), Bob (Laura), Michelle, and Dan; Great Grandmother of Megan, Matt, Miranda, Dahlia, Emliano (Alisha), Jordan (Alyssa), Lucas, Brady, Sophia, Samantha, Prudence, and Great Great Grandmother of JT. She enjoyed traveling with PSEA Retirees, playing cards, Tripoley, Yahtzee, slot machines, Sonora, Twain Harte, Genealogy and all things Family. The last 5 yrs were challenging while Bernice endured Alzheimers Dementia. Special thanks to Bill for spending every Sunday for the past 5 yrs. with her, Dan for making it possible for her to return to her home, Bob, Jim, Brian, Paul who all made repairs around her home, and to Tom, her excellent caregiver. At her request, there will be no services.

Bernice was one of the nicest
neighborhood mothers. I knew her through her children. She and her husband were the nicest people and very devoted parents. Never missed a baseball game. I periodically see some of her family, and will never forget her sweet daughter, Nancy.
May she RIP with her dear
husband.
