Angela Gann Obituary

Angela was born in Sacramento, Ca. at Mercy General Hospital, to parents Richard F. - Joan Gann.
She attended K-12 schools, Sacramento City College and graduated from U.C. California-Berkeley where she joined Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. Angela was retired from the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan where she was a National Director of the Compliance Program and Professional Development. Due to Covid-19 she developed depression while recovering from surgery that led to heart failure. Her life ended at Kaiser Hospital-Oakland on September 14, 2020 at the age of 68.
Angela was a loving and caring person and is survived by her parents, husband-Will Bierman, daughter Sarah, brother-Richard F. Gann II (Lisa), sister-Mary Ghaemian (Kaveh), nephews-Richard F. Gann III, Kaspian Ghaemian. She was predeceased by her brother John Orrin Gann on 9-7-20. As we weep an ocean of tears, she will always be with us in spirit-eternally.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. Great person who kept everyone together in the old Facilities Development days - to be sure things were done right. Sorry that her retirement was so short.

I was absolutely heartbroken to learn of Angela’s passing. I was blessed to work on her team at Kaiser Permanente for five wonderful years and not only was she my manager, most importantly, she became my dear friend. Angela was a gifted and creative leader who empowered people, capitalized on their strengths, and truly cared about all of those with whom she worked. She worked tirelessly to create a work environment and culture that was engaging, uplifting, positive, and fun. I am so grateful that Angela came into my life and for the precious time I got to spend with her. Angela had a heart of gold – she was thoughtful, smart, spirited, generous, witty, creative, artistic, spunky, driven, and so much more. I am flooded with so many wonderful memories and yet feel so incredibly sad. Sending my love and condolences to all of Angela’s family. The world is less bright without Angela in it and I will miss her terribly.
