Kelly Sjoblom Obituary

Kelly Sjoblom
July 2, 1984 - December 20, 2023
Kelly Marie Sjoblom, 39, passed away peacefully at home on December 20th, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kelly touched the lives of many with her pure and infectious love for people and life. Despite the last year in which she faced an excessive number of challenges from fighting cancer, she remained resilient, happy, and outgoing, inspiring all who knew her.

Kelly was born on July 2, 1984. Growing up in Sebastopol she graduated from Analy High School Class of 2002. She never knew a stranger, accumulating uncountable honorary sisters, brothers, aunts, and uncles everywhere she went.

Kelly loved spending time with family and friends no matter the location although Bodega Bay and Lake Almanor were two of her favorite places. Some of her favorite activities were swimming, line dancing, and golfing, especially at Northwood, and she always knew the best places to get lunch, especially grilled cheese sandwiches and regular Coke with no ice. She loved all animals but especially frogs and her dogs Mac and Sweetie.

Those she left behind: Parents Mel and Carol Sjoblom, Brother and Sister-in-law, Jeff and Angela Sjoblom, nephew and niece Tauno and Molly Sjoblom, Uncle and Aunt John and Nancy Sjoblom, and many cousins.

A celebration of life will be held for Kelly in the Summer.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen her in a while and it breaks my heart to hear of her passing. She made the monotonous work of my job so much better. Always so nice and kind ! I still have the picture she drew for me on my wall I will always cherish it! Bless you for being a bright light in this dark world. May you be at peace!

My little sister Kel, oh how I miss your sweet smile, infectious laughter, keen nose to find every block of cheese in an 100 foot radius, and sense of adventure for frog and salamander hunting. So special that you were able to share with me and with my kiddos... such a special gift. Mel, Carol, Jeff, and Angela, we are sending you so much love. When uncle Jimmy shared with me, the first though that came to my heart was Mom up in heaven with huge open arms waiting for Kelz with a huge "Hey Girlfriend!" They are in great company!

Kelly Sjoblom
A tribute to Kelly
When we went to restaurants or even just anywhere with the Sjobloms, she always introduced us to the workers and waiters like she knew them for years. She would even go back to the kitchen in some restaurants to let them know we were there.
She never forgot a persons name or their kids name or even their pets name, Never!!
When we went swimming out in the lake, she was always the one who tested the water. Had to be the first on in,
When we would eat lunch or dinner and Jeff Chan was with us, she would always keep an eye on him because she thought he was stealing her french fries. Even when we weren't eating, she let him know.
I´m not sure but I think she had more sisters than the Catholic church.
Pretty much knew every word to her favorite country western songs, which was a lot, especially Toby Keith.
I'm sure she made all the Sonoma county dairy farmers proud due to her lust for grilled cheese sandwiches.
Whenever we went to a fair or small musical event, she would be the first one out there dancing and talking to the band members.
Paul from Henry 1 was probably one of her best friends and she couldn't wait for the fishermans festival to see the helicopter land.
Will we miss her? Without a doubt. She was probably the most entertaining lady I have ever been associated with.
Kelly, believe me when I say we will love you and miss you forever.
Lastly, keep them happy in heaven and when we get there, you can introduce us to all your new friends. And if I know you, that will be before we can even put our suitcases down.
Love, Phil
