FORT ANN - Glenn W. Mattison, of 15 Baldwin Corners Rd., passed away October 14 ,2023 in Glens Falls Hospital of AML. He went peacefully surrounded by his loving family by his side.
Born November 30, 1945 in Glens Falls Hospital, He was the son of the late Charles and Muriel Mattison.
He was predeased by his wife Carol (Toben) Mattison of 25 years and infant daughter, Valarie Mattison.
He served in the Army from 1962-1965 where he served 13 months in Korea with his good friend, Scott Elms.
He had a few jobs in his life which he retired from Waste Management but his most passion was restoring old tractors and making wood furniture. His favorite was his nickel runs and car shows with his 1954 Crestlane Ford with his good friend, Ray Bennefield and spending time at the food truck his with daughters.
Survivors include his six children: Glenn (Jean) Mattison, Kelly (Joe) Mattison, Scott (Wendy) Mattison, Vickie (Dan) Dibble, Christine (Bruce) Stevenson, Charles Mattison. He had two brothers and one sister; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He also also had four steps-daughters: Carol Orvin, Deborah Snow, Stephanie Frost and Lori Pierson; also step-grandchilden. He had 17 grandchildren and great-grandchildren which he adored very much.
A special thank you to the staff and doctors on Tower 2 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Services will be Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Mason Funeral Home, 18 George St., Fort Ann, NY 12827.
Gathering will take place at Glenns Home at 15 Baldwin Corners Rd. Family and Friends are welcome.
