David H. Prevost

GLENS FALLS - David H. Prevost, 83, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, following a brief illness.
Born July 25, 1940, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Henry J. and Dorothy (Craw) Prevost.
David graduated from Glens Falls Senior High School in 1958, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1962. He worked at Hercules/Ciba Geigy and Astro-Valcour as an Environmental Engineer.
A passionate golfer, he was a member of Bay Meadows Golf Club for 67 years; twice the Club Champion. He was a world traveler and played more than 500 courses on five continents. He was also a lifelong learner, taking classes at SUNY Adirondack until near the end of his life.
David was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his brother, Gary Prevost of Minneapolis, MN.
Visitation will take place Monday, October 16, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 11 Lafayette St., Queensbury, NY 12804.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls with the Rev. Scott Vanderveer officiating.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you the staff at Glens Falls Hospital and the Pines at Glens Falls that cared for David in his final days.

Dave was such a beautiful soul. He prayed for me when I was ill and I prayed for him when he was. I will miss him at our Chi Alpha meetings at ACC, where we discussed the Bible. He was a very religious guy and it was very evident in the way he lived. I will miss him
and pray for the people he left behind. We will see him again, no doubt.
