Brian Donise Beck
March 21, 1973 - Oct. 5, 2023
GLENS FALLS - Brian Donise Beck, 50, passed away, Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Brian was the youngest son born to Joanne (Donise) Beck and the late Bruce V. Beck, on March 21, 1973, in Albany, NY.
Brian grew up in Sand Lake, NY, where he attended Averill Park High School, and graduated in 1992. While in high school, he excelled at long distance running as a member of the indoor track, outdoor track and field, and the cross-country teams.
He later graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 1995, where he earned an Associate Degree in Marketing and was also a member of the track team and of the cross country track teams. He was a National Jr. College All-American his freshman year.
Brian and his family spent summers in Pilot Knob on Lake George, before moving with his family permanently in 1996.
He worked summers for the Lake George Steamboat Company, while he was in high school and college. He later went on to work for Walmart, where he was employed for 25 years, working at both the Queensbury and Saratoga stores.
Brian was an avid sports fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys, New York Islanders, Boston Red Sox, Clarkson Golden Knights hockey, and most of all NASCAR. He was a huge Dale Earnhardt, Dale Jr., and then Kyle Larson fan. He attended over 25 NASCAR races, including the 2015 Daytona 500.
Brian was also a fan of local dirt track legend Kenny Tremont Jr. He along with his father, and brother could be found Friday and Saturday nights, in the wintertime, rooting for Adirondack Thunder. Brian also loved listening to his favorite band AC/DC, boating on Lake George, and hiking throughout the Adirondacks with his brother.
Brian met the love of his life, Crystal, in September of 2019, and they were married on July 29, 2023, at the Lakeside Chapel in Cleverdale, on Lake George. She stayed at his side caring for him until the end.
In addition to both his paternal and maternal grandparents, Brian was predeceased by his father, Bruce. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Crystal (Jacobson) of Glens Falls; his two stepsons: Kevin French of Johnsburg, and Brandon French of Cleveland, OH; his mother, Joanne Beck of Queensbury; his brother, B. Douglas Beck of Glens Falls; and his beloved cat, Marble. He is also survived by several relatives and close friends.
Per Brian's request, there will be no services.

I grew up near Brian and his family in Lake George. What a sweet man, quiet and thoughtful. I didn't know him closely but always thought highly of him. My heart is saddened to hear of his passing. I couldn't be happier for him that he had a beautiful wedding before that. Ironically, I was eating lunch with my mother for her birthday at the Queensbury Hotel on the day of the wedding. I passed by the event hall and thought, oh lovely a wedding is going on! Shortly thereafter, my father and stepmom sent a photo of them at the wedding and it was there! Funny how we can pass others in life and not realize in that moment. Anyway, my heart goes out to Joanne, Douglas, and Brian's newlywed. Sending hugs and my deepest sympathy.
