Cody Jeffers Obituary

The Family of Cody Thomas Jeffers of Rigby, Idaho is saddened to announce his passing on October 9th 2023 at the age of 21. He was born December 23rd 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Jim Jeffers and Rachael Paternostro who would later divorce. In 2009 Cody and his Father Jim moved from Oregon to Idaho Falls, Idaho where his Grandparents Don & Patty Jeffers lived. In 2012 his Father Jim married Sophia Young who had two Sons Jesse and Zander. They became a great and adventurous family enjoying riding ATVs in the sand dunes & mountains, camping, fishing and they all loved to travel. Cody loved riding his four-wheeler on the sand dunes and in the mountains any chance he could get. He also enjoyed camping with all of his new family especially his brothers and cousins, they were constantly raising havoc any chance they could get.

Cody loved to skateboard and was an avid artist; he was always drawing, painting, etching great pictures, his father Jim even used some of his drawings to vinyl for bumper stickers or back windows of vehicles, but he mostly did it for fun, he loved it and was great at it. His Grandma Tina Nelson even had one of his drawings tattooed on her; he found that to be so awesome.

Cody graduated from Lincoln High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho in 2021. After high school he started working in construction with his Father Jim and loved every moment they worked together. He was the most kind hearted, loving individual and he would help anyone with anything. He met the love of his life Destiny Grebstad and they started making a life together with their little dog Roxy they loved dearly. He would later find a job working in the security field and he grew to enjoy it. He decided to go into the military and was to ship out soon this year.

Cody is survived by his Father Jim (Sophia) Jeffers, Mother Rachael Paternostro, Brother Thomas Smith, Brother Jude Lowe, Sister Paisley Lowe, Brother Jesse (Emily) James, Brother Zander Hope, Grandparents Don & Patty Jeffers, Grandparents Patrick & Rebecca Paternostro, Grandparents Larry & Tina Nelson, Uncle Matt Jeffers, Uncle Matthew (Trish) Nelson, Uncle Johnny (Celeste) Nelson, Girlfriend Destiny Grebstad, many other Uncles, Aunts and Cousins that he loved and adored deeply.

I didn’t know Cody or your family. My sweet grandaughter Kali Oar told me about your son passing and how profoundly sad she is for you. I am very sad for Cody and your family.
