Nathaniel Thompson Obituary

Nathaniel "Nate" Ray Nathaniel was born November 8, 1979. He departed this life on September 18, 2023 after a life threatening illness. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ned & Earnestine Thompson; his maternal grandparents, Alvester & Lillian Petty; and adopted grandmother, Mo. Nancy Ruth Samuels. He attended Eggers Middle School '92 - '94, Hammond High Graduate Class of 1998. He earned a Bachelors Degree at Purdue University, Lafayette, IN. Nate was a kind and well-mannered man. He leaves to cherished his fond memories, his wife of 14 years, Vantria Thompson and their children, Juel and Jaeden Thompson. His mother, Juanice Petty and father, Ray Thompson; three siblings, Charles Petty; Tyneisha (Keith) Hunter; and Nancy Petty; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral will be held at True Vine COGIC 3521 Hemlock St., East Chicago, IN on Saturday, October 7, 2023. Visitation 10 AM, and the service at 11 AM. Eulogy by Pastor Emmanuel John and the Interment Concordia Cemetery. Professional funeral services rendered by Lakeshore Funeral Services Inc., Phone number 219-614-0575.
