EL PASO - Lilley Ann "Liz" Haas, 88, of El Paso, passed away at 9:10 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.
She was born on June 11, 1935, in Secor a daughter of Henry and Dimple Reich Hartman. She married Lawrence P. Haas on March 30, 1958, in Secor. He passed away on March 21, 2012.
Survivors include one son, Larry (Becky) Haas of Secor; one daughter, Lori (Mike) Yates of Hudson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lilley Ann cleaned homes for 40 years and helped with the farm. She was a 1953 graduate of El Paso High School.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Secor. She volunteered at the nursing home. She enjoyed baking many cookies, camping and vacationing with family and friends and reading. She loved to walk the neighborhood.
She will be remembered for her kind and generous heart and joyous spirit.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso and also one hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in El Paso.
Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in El Paso is handling arrangements for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the El Paso Fire Department or Ambulance Squad or Apostolic Christian Home of Eureka.
