Lucille Corbin Obituary

Lucille Jean Corbin
Born: March 23, 1934 in Chicago, IL
Died: October 10, 2023 in Barrington, IL
Lucille Jean Corbin, known affectionately by friends and family as Mitzi, passed away peacefully in Barrington, IL on October 10, 2023. Born on March 23, 1934, in Chicago, IL, Mitzi lived a vibrant and loving life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Mitzi was a woman of incredible strength and kindness. She was a steady pillar of support for her family, her home a haven for those who needed comfort or assistance. Her love for her family was palpable, and the joy she found in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was evident in her every interaction with them. Mitzi was the embodiment of familial love, her devotion to her kin a testament to her caring nature.
Her love for her family was matched only by her love for creativity. An artist at heart, Mitzi found joy in crafting, painting, and sketching. She had a keen eye for beauty and was able to capture it effortlessly in her artwork. Her pieces were not just expressions of her talent, but also a reflection of her soul – warm, vibrant, and full of life.
Beyond her family and her art, Mitzi had a deep affection for Westerns and the Chicago Bulls. She would often be found engrossed in a Western movie or cheering for her favorite basketball team. Her enthusiasm for the Bulls was so great that she kept stats for every game, a testament to her dedication and fervor.
Mitzi was preceded in death by her loving husband Jerry Paul Corbin, her brother Richard Singer, her sisters Dorrie Krach (Singer) and Violet Lentz (Singer), and her son Jerry Wayne Corbin. She is survived by her brother Peter Singer, her daughter Patricia Watermann (Corbin) and husband David, her son Michael Corbin and wife Colleen, and her daughter Tabatha Bruggeman (Corbin) and husband Kevin. Mitzi also leaves behind eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will carry her legacy forward.
In her 89 years, Mitzi lived a life of love and service. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew her.
In remembering Mitzi, we celebrate a life well-lived, a woman well-loved, and a legacy that will continue to shine brightly. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering love for her family serve as a beacon of inspiration for all those she leaves behind. She was a beacon of light in our lives, and her memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
We bid farewell to Lucille Jean Corbin, our beloved Mitzi, with heavy hearts, but also with a sense of peace, knowing that she lived a fulfilling life surrounded by those she loved. Her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration to us all.
