Immaculata "Mac" Laudano
Immaculata Gambardella Laudano, 94, died peacefully on October 28, 2023 at the Grimes Center with her family by her side. "Mac", as she was known by all, was the wife of the late Michael F. Laudano, Sr.
She was born on Sunday January 27, 1929, to the late Andrea and Antoinette Camera Gambardella. She was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph, Vincent and Andrew Gambardella, Jr.
Mac was born and raised on Wooster Street and was a devoted parishioner of St. Michael Church and member of the St. Anne Society. She worked at different textile firms in the area, then worked at Wolf's Bakery and later at Dow Covers before working in the cafeteria of Hillhouse High School and then Conte West Hills School until she retired. She loved to cook for family and friends and enjoyed traveling with her husband. Mac was a member of the St. Andrew the Apostle Ladies Society and would volunteer at the annual festa where she proudly served her peaches and wine. She was a hardworking woman who was devoted to her family, her faith and her heritage.
Mac was a loving mother to Michael (Sandra) Laudano, Jr. and Celia (Anthony) Musolino. She adored her grandchildren Melissa (Luis) and Michael (Calie) Laudano and her great-grandchildren Alexander Pedroza, Harper and Kade Laudano. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and was predeceased by a nephew Andrew Gambardella. Mac's family would like to thank the staff at the Grimes Center for the wonderful care they provided for her.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc., 11 Wooster Place. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church Friday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery.
