David Roberts Obituary
David M. Roberts of Hamden, CT, formerly of North Haven, CT and Durham, CT passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the age of 66. He was born in New Haven, CT, the son of the late Earl and Helen Roberts on November 22, 1956. After graduating from the University of Mississippi, David began his career as Vice President of the family business, E.H. Roberts Company, located in North Haven. Following the sale of the company, David continued his career at GHP Media until his retirement.
David was an avid golfer and dedicated martial artist. He loved traveling to the beach, and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and Miami Dolphins. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
David was a proud father and grandfather, survived by his children Elizabeth (Kyle) Breininger (Kyle), James (Jean Tuvilla-Roberts) Roberts, Steven Roberts, Katherine (Nate) Breininger, his grandchildren, Sofia, Cecelia, Ava, and soon to be Thomas, his sister Debra, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Douglas Roberts.
A heartwarming thank you to his many friends, family, and compassionate caregivers at Arden House.
David's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, November 6th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's name may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association., CT Chapter, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489 or www.alz.org/ct

I met Dave at Golf Digest when I worked there decades ago. Dave was always a breath of fresh air when he came in to provide his services to us. Always in a good mood, smiling and eager to assist with our design projects. He really loved what he did. I was sad to hear of his passing at such a young age. Your presence in the world will be missed. Condolences to Dave´s family and friends.

Elizabeth,, Jim, Steve and Katie, I just learned the news of your beautiful father, and am so saddened to hear of his passing. I most definitely would have paid my respects to this dear man. I worked with your Dad many years ago when I used to purchase print for several magazines. We had kept in touch after I left the company and then lost touch. Your Dad was such a beautiful man. He always delivered, making impossible deadlines. And he taught me so much about printing. His good nature was infectious. His sense of loyalty was admirable and inspiring. And, of course, his smile lit up a room. Truly, nothing made him smile more than talking about the four of you. I followed your trial and tribulations from about 1993 to about 2004 during the course of our friendship. He loved you all intensely, and would have gone to the ends of the earth for you.
