Robert C. Lee, (Bob, the General) age 90, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024. Robert was born in Plymouth on May 29, 1934, son of Charles and Dora (Pokel) Lee. He attended Plymouth city schools, graduating in 1952.
Robert was married to Carol Wittkopp from 1953-1967. He then married Margaret Myers on July 7, 1970. After high school, Robert worked as a truck driver all his life. He worked at Chas Lee Co., Olson Transportation, C.W. Transport and Sargento Foods. Robert was a long time member of the USTA. He trained and raced harness horses with his dad, Charles Lee at fairs and parimutuel tracks in Illinois. He was a member of the Plymouth Trail Riders, being show chairman of many Quarter Horse shows. Along with his wife, Margaret, they showed horses for many years at Open and Quarter Horse shows around the state of Wisconsin.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four children: Scott Lee of Sarasota FL, Tony (Debbie) Lee of Plymouth, Chuck (Cathy) Lee of Ft. Myers FL, Tracy (Kevin) Johnson of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren: Ryan, Jesse, Rob, Travis, Eric, Brandon, Becca, Garret, Dylan and Kenzie; as well as 12 great grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dora Lee, first wife Carol, his sisters and brothers-in-law Marion Hasson and Virginia Radloff and daughter-in-law Margaret (Meg) Lee.
Following Robert's wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no service or visitation at this time. A celebration of life will be planned around his birthday in May 2025. As Robert would say "Just one more and then I'll go"
