Margaret "Eileen" (Waltenbaugh) McKnight, 92, of Kiski Township, left to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Friday, October 25, 2024 in her home.
Born October 22, 1932 in Parks Township, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Margaret (Kinter) Waltenbaugh. She was a graduate of Washington Township High School.
Eileen was employed part-time by Murphy's Five and Ten and Reidboard Brothers Clothing. Above all she was a devoted homemaker, Eileen loved taking care of her family.
She was a devoted and very active member of the Apollo Free Methodist Church for 85 years. Eileen was a part of the Adult Ministry, taught Sunday school, Country Gospel, and sang on WKVL Sunday evenings.
She loved fishing and hunting with Sam. Eileen enjoyed going to camp, "Ole Swell Fellas' Lodge" in Potter County.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband and love of her life, Donald "Sam" McKnight, Sr.- August 29, 2009; siblings, Robert, William, Paul, Ronald, John, and Nancy Waltenbaugh.
Eileen is survived by her son, Donald (Jolene) "Hank" McKnight, Jr. of Kiski Township; brother, Larry (Lillie) Waltenbaugh of Kiski Township; sister-in-law, Jean Waltenbaugh of Shelocta; many nieces, nephews, and her grand fur-kids, Ellie, Piper, Rosie, Arko, and White Claw.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 4:00pm until the hour of the service at 7:00pm in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home 100 Owens View Ave. Apollo, PA with The Reverend Joyce A. Dix-Weiers, STS Officiating. Private burial in Spring Lutheran Cemetery, Spring Church.
