John Anthony Arredondo was called home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2025, at the age of 41. He was born on March 16, 1984, in Taft, Texas, to Tony Lee Arredondo, Sr. and Jeanette Alarcon Arredondo. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and offer their prayers during a visitation on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Sawyer-George Funeral Home, 12497 Leopard St, Corpus Christi, TX 78410. A proud graduate of Woodsboro High School, class of 2003, John went on to earn his associate's degree in business from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas. On October 14, 2017, he married the love of his life, Cynthia Arredondo. John worked as a dedicated Rental Fleet Inspector at Holt Cat in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a light to all who worked with him, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Above all, John was a devoted husband, father, son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. He cherished the moments spent with his loved ones, and his laughter and joy will forever echo in their hearts. John had a love for life's simple pleasures—whether it was losing himself in a video game, watching his favorite movies and shows, or fishing on peaceful waters. He will be deeply missed, and his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. John was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Guadalupe and Elda Arredondo; his maternal grandmother, Lucia “Lucy” Alarcon; his sister, Ilene Nicole Arredondo McKelvey; his uncle, Guadalupe Arredondo Jr.; and his aunt, Maria Deleon. Leaving to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Cynthia Arredondo of Corpus Christi, Texas; three daughters, Raeli Shay Elizabeth Arredondo of Refugio, Texas, Emberly Mae Arredondo, and Maddison Elizabeth Gonzalez, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; his parents, Tony Lee Arredondo Sr. and Jeanette Alarcon Arredondo of Refugio, Texas; two brothers, Tony Lee Arredondo Jr. and Randall Scott Arredondo, both of Refugio, Texas; his brother-in-law, Justin Cole McKelvey of Goliad, Texas; his sister-in-law, Zenitha (Jeff) Volz of San Antonio, Texas; his grandfather, Antonio (Maria) Alarcon of Woodsboro, Texas; his father and mother-in-law, Brian and Annie Bodine of Corpus Christi, Texas; three aunts, Angelita “Porky” (Noe) Gomez of Refugio, Texas, Linda (Joe) Garcia of Goliad, Texas, and Paulina Capistran of Refugio, Texas; his uncle, Trey (Robert) King of Victoria, Texas; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
