I would like to offer my condolences to the family and friends of Jennie Chinn. Although we did not know each other personally, I felt I knew her through her work at the Kansas Museum of History where I served as a volunteer. I was also one of the many teachers who taught Kansas history using the beautiful textbook she wrote. "The Kansas Journey" inspired me to write my family history in a creative and nontraditional way, and I planned to visit her in person to thank her.
