Janine Goolsby Obituary

Janine Marie Goolsby, 51, of Florahome, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026.

She was born on March 21, 1974, in Saratoga Springs, New York to John Thomas Allen and Gloria Jean Lofthouse Allen, both of whom preceded her in death. She moved to Melrose, Florida with her family in 1975, where she was raised and attended Keystone Heights Elementary and High School. As a lifelong resident of the area, Janine knew just about everyone-and just about everyone knew her.

She was known for her ability to light up any room she entered, with a vibrant personality, unmistakable laughter, and unfiltered honesty. Janine made lasting impressions on everyone she met. Her big heart kept her busy helping others, often putting their needs before her own. She was a take-charge kind of woman, able to organize a group of strangers with ease.

She is survived by her husband, John Goolsby; her only daughter, Ashleigh Marie Allen; her siblings, John Allen Jr., Julie Allen, and Jeff Allen; her stepchildren, Lisa, Niki, and Tim; and her two granddaughters, Kasyn and Jordyn, whom she loved deeply.

To those who knew her well, Janine was more than a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend-she was a force. She was a party, always ready for a good time; a chef, always cooking more food than could ever be eaten; and an overachiever, always doing more, giving more, and helping more for her family, friends, and anyone in need.

A visitation will be held at Jones-Gallagher Funeral Home, 340 E Walker Dr, Keystone Heights, FL 32656, on Thursday, March 26th, 5-7pm. A Celebration of Life will take place at Brooklyn Boys Pizza on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 1pm.
