Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Donald T. "Don" Keely, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness in the early morning hours of Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Age 78 years. Don was born on July 24, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late Thomas C. and Lillian J. (Martin) Keely. Following High School, Don went to work for a short time before being drafted into the Vietnam War. He proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army. After his Honorable Discharge, Don returned home and went back to work for General Motors, retiring after a workplace injury in 1995. On August 29, 1970 Don married the love of his life, Diane Lynn Walt, and she survives him. Don was a lifelong member of the former VFW in Flushing, Michigan. In his younger years, Don had a passion for bowling; being a part of several leagues in the Flushing and Flint area. He had a great love for the outdoors; spending much of his time hunting, fishing, golfing, and other great outdoor activities. With his many joys in life, nothing brought Don more happiness than the time he was able to spend with his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of over 55 years, Diane L. Keely; three children, Carie Keely, Jennifer (Tom) Savage, and Matthew Keely; grandchildren, Lauryn (Tyler Evans) Keely, Charles (Chaz) Keely, Taylor (Jay) Rodocker, Kaitlyn (Jon) Sutton, Keely (Zach Osborn) Savage, and Joseph Savage; great-granddaughter, Gabrielle "Gabby" Evans; two siblings, Rodney (Eunice) Keely and Judy (Rudy) Venegas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Don is happily reunited with his parents, Thomas C. and Lillian J. Keely.

At the request of Don and his family, cremation has taken place and Private Family Military Honors and Inurnment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Rossell Funeral Home, www.rossellfh.com
