Dear Julie and family,
I am Helen´s long-time friend from Akron U.
I spoke to your sister today and she shared the very sad news of Dick´s passing.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
Indeed, Dick was one of a kind... always helping others and demonstrating such passion and compassion... whatever the circumstance.
He put his heart and soul into EVERY endeavor!
Please accept my sincere sympathies and confolences.
May sacred memories of all the happy and joyful times spent together comfort and inspire you and your loved ones.
Fondly,
Emily Audra Fleisher

I had Mr Smith as a math teacher at the Woodridge Middle School from the fall of 1967 until June of 1069 but I remember him as if it was yesterday. He sparked my love of mathematics that helped me become a Mechanical Engineer and businessman. I think of him every time I use Algebra -which is often. He was one of the best teachers I ever had and I am not surprised to read what a great person he was. What an accomplished man and a life of serving others. Sincere condolences to his family. A life well lived.

I´ve attended both my parents and uncle´s funeral at Redmon. Seeing Mr. Smith´s friendly, familiar face helped ease the sadness. What a good, kind man. I´m sure Redmon misses you!
