Died: October 19, 2023 in Hudson, OH
Charles H. "Jag" Doherty, age 78, of Hudson, OH, formerly of Ottowa, IL, Golden, Colorado and Las Vegas, NV passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023. He is the beloved husband of Sandra Lee "Sandy" Doherty (nee Wisniewski); loving father of Chryss Doherty and Candee (John) Homer; dear step-father of Ryan (Karen) Andrachik; loving grandfather of Victoria and Vince Ripepi, Alexia and Nadia Andrachik, and Ayden Homer; and dear brother of Larry and the late Richard, Robert, Patsy Resutko, and Mark. He also leaves behind his cherished dog companion, Spanky Lee. Jag was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing a hand of black jack and cheering on his favorite teams, the Guardians, Browns and the Bears. He loved spending time outdoors, feeding the wild squirrels and birds. He loved all animals, including his dogs, tropical fish, and koi. He graduated from Drake University in 1967 with a degree in pharmacy and worked for 40 years as a pharmacist before he retired. Mass of a Catholic Burial will be 11 AM Monday, November 20, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 340 N. Main St., Hudson, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Friends of City Dogs (www.friendsofcitydogscleveland.com/donate) or to the ASPCA (www.aspca.org). In memory of Jag and his love for Hudson squirrels, please consider leaving a bag of peanuts outside your home for your local wildlife this winter.
