Helen Davies Obituary

Helen G. Davies, 95 of Hellertown passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023. She was born on March 27, 1928 in Bethlehem, to the late Peter and Ida (Baller) Nagy. She was the wife of the late Donald Davies who died in 1972.

Helen worked in the cafeteria as a baker for the Saucon Valley School District for over 25 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking in her spare time and always made sure she would share her cookies and baked goods with her family and friends. She also enjoyed her weekly card games with her nieces, Kathy and Joanne. Helen was a simple and kindhearted woman who always put others needs before hers and for that reason life will never be the same without her. She was a member of the former St. John's Windish Lutheran Church.

She will be dearly missed by her son Mark Davies and his wife, Dawn and their children, Jessica and Kyle and daugther, Jill Gawlikowski and her husband, Joe and their daughter, Megan. Sister, Dorothy Nagy of Hellertown and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her great-grand dog, Porter.

Helen was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene, Anna, Margaret, Olga and Ethel and brothers, James, Peter, William and Charles.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
