VENEDOCIA -- Stanley M. Macklin, 86, of Venedocia died Saturday evening at St. Ritas Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on October 12, 1937, in Jennings Township the son of the late Rev. Maurice Clayton and Carrie Mae (Zimmerman) Macklin. On July 24, 1959, he married the former Leora Louise Wilkins who also preceded him in death on January 18, 2009.
Stanley graduated from Spencerville High School. He had attended Monticello United Brethren and Kingsley Churches. He had worked six years for Al Green, a division of Ford Motor Co., 35 years at Kennedy Mfg., and helped farm for 23 years.
Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his sons, Clifford (Pam) Macklin of Wauseon, Ohio, and Greg Macklin of Venedocia; a granddaughter, Samantha (Kevin) Loeffler of Santee, California; a grandson, Caleb Macklin; and brothers, Clayton (Dondi) Macklin of Lima, Donald (Bev) Macklin of Spencerville, and Kenney (Elaine) Macklin of Geneva, Indiana.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the WTLW Channel of Lima.
