Lois Diamond Obituary

Lois Diamond and Stanley Diamond both passed away this summer in Ojai, CA, inseparable for 54 years of marriage. Lois died on June 2 at the age of 96, and Stan on August 27 at 95. Theirs was a great love that inspired and touched all who knew them. A dazzling Los Angeles couple, they lived full lives of caring about and enjoying friends, family, travel, culture, bridge, good food, and most of all each other. They were known and loved for their charming good humor, unswerving optimism, and dashing sense of style.
Lois was born in Steubenville, Ohio to Irene and Jack Broida. Along with her brother, Don, the family moved first to Pittsburgh, and then to Beverly Hills. After graduating Beverly Hills High, Lois attended UCLA as an art major. She and her first husband, Irl Korsen, had two sons, Jack and Jeff. As a young wife and mother Lois began her three decades of charity work including as President of Helping Hand, and of the Life Group of the Suicide Prevention Center. She also began her lifelong calling as an excellent cook, bringing friends to her table for innumerable dinner parties that she spent days preparing for. Lois was one of those rare people who always had time for a friend, and she forged friendships far and wide. She was also a talented artist.
Stan was born in Los Angeles as the only child of Florence and Philip Diamond. A child actor, he appeared at the Pasadena Playhouse and in movies. After attending Los Angeles High School, he received his bachelor's degree from UCLA, and graduated with honors from USC School of Law. Stan specialized in entertainment law, and with his firm Diamond & Wilson, represented such luminaries as Marvin Gaye, David Bowie, Van Morrison, Black Sabbath, Eddie Money, Donovan, Steppenwolf, John Cougar Mellencamp, Yes, Dio, Buckethead, Joe Satriani and the Stray Cats, among many others, practicing until 2016. Stan's first marriage produced two daughters, Caryn and Diana.
Stan and Lois's favorite song was, "The Second Time Around," and they held each other's hand until the very end. They are survived by three children, Caryn Bosson (Charlie), Jack Korsen, and Diana Ramirez (Rony). Jeff passed away in 1983. They also leave grandchildren Gabriele (Beau) Bland, Daniel Becerril, Ryan Ramirez, Julia Bosson, Philip Bosson, and great grandson Beaux Bland.
To honor their lives, memorial donations may be made to the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.

Stan Diamond... A kind, brilliant and extraordinary man. His incredible and loving wife Lois. My deepest condolences to their family. He was my friend and my attorney.

Stan and Lois were in my painting class at Brentwood Art Center prior to the pandemic. I loved having them in my class and the other students were so happy to enjoy their presence. They both patiently worked on their poetic landscapes and we all could feel their sweet devotion to each other. It was a pleasure knowing them....
