Mr. Hoppe was one of the best teachers I had at William Chrisman High school. He was very knowledgeable about history and made learning fun. He was a very kind person who cared and respected each student. His class on Missouri history was the highlight of my senior year. I was observed him taking a fellow student aside who was heading down the wrong path in life and telling the student he had a lot more going for him than he was giving himself credit for. He told the young man to come by his classroom anytime he needed someone to talk to. Mr. Hoppe made each student feel special and valued his students as individuals.

More than any other teacher I had at William Chrisman HS, Mr. Hoppe made a positive lifelong impression upon me. His tremendous knowledge of history and his fun, engaging and fair way of teaching and testing was unique. He is a credit to his profession, his students, and his family.

Have know Gene and Carolann for years. Worked with Carolann and was part of our our retired nurses breakfast group. Gene taught both my kids at William Chrisman. He was great teacher and lots of fun. Miss them both greatly. They loved their family. My prayers are for them.
