Lewis Frost Obituary
Lewis Scot Frost of Tolland, CT passed away on October 8, 2023 in the presence of family following a courageous battle with cancer.
Scot was born on November 21, 1958, to Lewis and Mary Lou (Otis) Frost. Known for his encouragement of others, sincerity and hard-working demeanor, Scot was a youth sports coach, mentor, fisherman, recreational athlete and hiker, reaching all 48 of New Hampshire's 4,000 ft peaks. He was an Environmental, Health and Safety manager at Hamilton Standard/ Sunstrand and Collins for 34 years then a consultant at HRP Associates for 3 years. Scot graduated from Barrington College (RI) in 1980 with an undergrad in Ecology followed by a Masters in Resource Management & Administration at Anitoch New England Grad school. He was a member of the Barrington varsity baseball team 4 years and captain his senior year.
Scot served in several capacities including Umpire (4 years) for greater Hartford towns, longtime member and past president of Willington Fish & Game club, co-founder of an annual Teen Suicide Prevention workshop at Soulfest in central NH and participated in church mission teams to aid the less fortunate.
Scot leaves behind his beloved wife of 14 years, Deborah (Longey) Frost and son Michael Frost and wife Amanda of Tolland. He was predeceased by his youngest son Samuel. He also leaves behind his mother Mary Lou Frost of Washington NH; brother Ronald Frost and wife Fawny of Serasota FL; sister Suzanne (Frost) Maki and husband Marc of South Windsor; sister-in-law Karen Kopeski and husband Chip of Westfield MA; stepchildren Courtney McClanaghan and husband Doug of Farmington, Brittany Habeck and husband Jason of Swanton VT, James Mann and wife Kara of Owensboro KY; 2 grandchildren Sef and Ryn Frost and step-grandchild Sabine Habeck. He also leaves behind his canine companion, Maddie who stayed by his side read to catch every frisbee he threw.

His family will receive friends for memorial calling hours on Friday, October 20, 2023 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Rd., Tolland, CT. Amemorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Wethersfield Evangelical Church, 511 Maple St., Wethersfield, CT. We were incredibly saddened to hear about the loss of your dear husband. Scot was such a thoughtful, kind, selfless, and loving man, who will be deeply missed by all.
