Paul Edgar Bolick, age 86, of Hickory passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023, after an extended illness.
Born January 27, 1937 in Catawba County he was the son of Cleatus Edgar Bolick and Ruth Chapman Bolick.
He was a member of Miller's Lutheran Church of Hickory. He worked for Duke Power for 33 years and held several positions as a lineman and his last position was supervisor.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Jean Mosteller Bolick, brothers Larry Joe Bolick and Cleatus Danny Bolick.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years Sandra Smith Bolick, sons Greg Bolick of Raleigh, Randy Bolick and wife Dr. Danielle Seaman of Durham and Mike Bolick and wife Janelle of High Point and four grandchildren, Daniel Bolick, Maranda Bolick, Charles Bolick and Thomas Bolick and one new great grandson Kiefer. Also, brother-in-law Dale and Scottie Smith and special nephew Brenton Smith.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to the service.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Miller's Lutheran Church of Hickory with Pastor Todd Cook and Vicar Rebecca Foster officiating. Private burial will follow at Woodlawn cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Millers Lutheran church 2280 12th Avenue Northeast, Hickory, NC 28601 heating and air fund, or to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
