Roy Ward Obituary


ROY DAVID "BUBBY" WARD, 30, of Prichard, W.Va., passed away Monday, November 27, 2023, due to injuries sustained in a work-related accident. He was born August 12, 1993, in Huntington, W.Va., and was a talented artist and freehand drawer. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Billy Don Ward, and his maternal grandparents, Sharon and Frank Quimby.
He leaves behind his mother, Alice (Wayne) Ringkamp of Lavalette, W.Va.; his father Roy Ward (Sarah Henson) of Prichard; his companion Heather Damron and their beloved son, Delbert Ward, also of Prichard; paternal grandmother, Georgene Ward of Kenova, W.Va.; four sisters, Rhesa (Mike) Artrip of Ft. Gay, W.Va., Allie Ward (Josh Sammons) of Lavalette, Cindy Ward, and Gracie Ward, both of Prichard; five brothers, Caleb Ward of Prichard, Dusty Ward, Alex Ringkamp, both of Lavalette, Tucker Ward, and James Ward, both of Prichard; special friend Garland Napier; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 4, 2023, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Hay officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis and Ward Cemetery, Whites Creek. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
