Paula Ann Sutherland was born July 14, 1956 in Wilmington, Delaware and passed away October 10, 2023 at Heartland Living and Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided since 2008. At an early age she moved to Greensboro. It was here that she joined Palm Street Christian Church, where she remained a member her entire life. Paula loved being an involved member at Palm Street and found pleasure in many activities there. She especially enjoyed singing in the church choir.

She was a graduate of Dudley High School and served as a staff member at Burger King on Summit Avenue for over 30 years.

Preceding her in death are mother Jeanette Tedder Sutherland Watkins, stepfather Bill Watkins, grandparents Opal and Clade Tedder, and Mae and Grover Watkins, who all offered their love and support to Paula. She also leaves behind several cousins and one especially loyal cousin Ann Maiden Jones. Ann was very special to Paula, and there is no doubt that Ann's devotion and attentiveness enhanced Paula's life during her extended period of failing health. Theirs was a very special bond.

A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park on Tuesday October 17 at 3 p.m.

Pastor Don Clement of Palm Street will officiate as Paula is laid to rest near her family. Flowers are welcome, or memorial donations can be made to Palm Street Christian Church 1921 Palm Street Greensboro 27405.
