LOWER NAZARETH
Dorothy L. Hess, 93, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family at her home in Lower Nazareth Township on Tuesday, November 07, 2023.

Born in Upper Nazareth Township, she was a daughter of the late Lewis F. Sr. and Mary (Rodgers) Kocher. Her husband, Frank E. Hess, Sr., died in 1991. They were married 43 years.

Dorothy was formerly a member of Christ Church of Bath United Church of Christ. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted homemaker, she also worked at a blouse mill and the former Nazareth Waist Mill. Additionally, Dorothy worked for Mr. Davidson for 17 years.

She is survived by a son, Ray L. Hess and wife, Rev. Debra, of Plainfield Township; three daughters, Mary F. Wenrich of Bethlehem, Kay A. Amberger of Bushkill Township, and Tracy L. Jones, and husband, Joseph Jr., of Lower Nazareth Township; a daughter-in-law, Susan Hess of Nazareth; a sister, Emily Baggest of Northampton; a sister-in-law, Shirley Kocher of Palmerton; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Dorothy was predeceased by sons, Jesse and Frank Hess,Jr.; grandchildren, Darin and Ashley; two sons-in-law, Randy Amberger and Wayne Wenrich; seven brothers, Stanley, Elwood Sr., John Sr., William Sr., Lewis Jr., Raymond, and Sherwood Kocher; four sisters, Alice Barrall, Bessie Fogel, Beatrice Houser, and Mildred Frey; and brother-in-law, August Baggest.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, in the Village of Moorestown – Bath, PA 18014. Friends and friends may call from 9:00 A.M. to time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Moorestown.
