Russell Simpson Obituary

Haven´t seen Doc Simpson since 1998 Daytona races but great memories of him. He took great care of my 15 year old son who got a terrible sunburn during the trip. Rest in peace Doc! Jim kelly

I am just now seeing this! I am so sorry for your loss! He was such an amazing man always helped mom (Chantelle Wilson) out whenever she needed! My prayers and condolences go out to the family!

We are just learning of the loss of Russes giving, super professional, personally engaged and engaging Spirit. Our sons are in their mid 40´s and Dr Simpson was there to get us thru immunizations, falls, bumps, bruises, school and sports physicals and injuries and everything in between for them and us. He was the last of neighborhood physicians, capable of healing the body and spirit, never rushed he always had time to chat a bit. He was genuinely invested in the community and his office spoke to that investment.

At this difficult time may you find comfort in knowing that others share in your sorrow. Dr Simpson was one the best Dr that took time with his patients, you may have had to wait a bit, but he was going to get to the root of what your illness was, and if he couldn't he did not hesitate to send you to a specialist. RIP Dr

I am really saddened by the passing of Russ. Russ and I attended grade school, high school and played little leg baseball together in Bridgeville where we grew up together. RIP Russ

As an ER doctor, I called Russ many times about one of his patients in the ER. Amazingly, he always knew every detail of the patient's medical history without ever looking at a chart. I have never met a doctor who could recall his patients like that. And he was always kind and gracious to me, even if I called him in the middle of the night. He made wise medical decisions too. I trusted him. RIP Russ.

My condolences to the entire Simpson Family. Russ was a good influence on me growing up and thought me about Cars when I was a kid which led to my career. Russ will always be my brother-in-law. God Bless

Deepest condolences are being sent to Kathy, Joy, Luv and to Russ´s entire family. So many wonderful memories from our days in Park Hill watching our kids grow together, lots of laughter. I can´t think of Russ without reflecting upon his great sense of humor. Kathy and Family, I was truly saddened to hear of Dr. Simpson´s passing. He will be truly missed. Kathy you and Dr. Simpson took such good care of me in a serious time of need. With your diagnosis of a bowel obstruction at the time ,honestly saved my life.I was so very sick. Doctor Simpson never left any stones unturned and I am so grateful to have been under his care as well as yours too Kathy for almost 20 years. I pray peace for your Family during this difficult time. Thank you so much for sharing Doc with the community. There are so many people who loved him and we knew that he loved us and cared for our health. He was the funniest doctor I have ever had. The joy of being his patient was not in just coming to his office but in the time he took with us. Yes, it caused him to run behind but he cared for us. They do not make doctors like him any more and he will be greatly missed.

Dear Russ, As a staff nurse, I worked with you on the ARU at old St. Luke's hospital many years ago. I always knew that when working with you, at any time of day or night, our patients would get the best care. It was a pleasure to work with you; your knowledge of medicine, your willingness to teach were exceptional. I learned so much from you, thank you, Russ!

Dr. Simpson was a great man. Always with a smile and would always come by the pit to say hi. He looked after me a few times after some wrecks but it was more than patient/doctor. It was personal. A great guy that touched allot of lives and will truly be missed. My deepest condolences to the entire family.
