I lost my dear friend of forever. We played together, fought together, lived together, laughed together and were proud of each other. He was an anchor to me as my career carried me away from the Valley. When I came home from my Navy career to visit my parents, the Volpetti, Schwab and Piatt team hit the Valley in style. Years later it was all family, his kids, and Maddy, the love of his life. He will be remembered in the highest of esteem by all who knew him. Blessings George. Jake Piatt

Many, many moons ago (probably early 70's) our daughter needed surgery and our pediatrician, Dr. Arnie Kramer, told us there was a new surgeon in the area and highly recommended him. When he gave gave us his name and number, I chuckled and said I graduated with him. We were one of his first patients. And yes, George did a wonderful job and she is now in her early 50's and has never had a repeat of the problem. Thank you George and RIP. I am sure you have already earned your wings.

I worked as an RN in the Operating Room at WB General in the mid 1980´s. Dr. Volpetti was absolutely one of my favorite surgeons to work with and on surgeries such as an abdominal aortic repair, which back in those days could take up to 8 hours, he would frequently request myself and a few other nurses to work in his O.R. room...often times with Dr. Anzalone assisting him. Although a very long a tedious surgery, that would be a great work day for me. Such great memories from my younger years! I am so sorry to hear of his passing and will keep your family in my prayers. I´m grateful to have known Dr. Volpetti and comforted to hear that he passed peacefully at home.
