Florence Sasada Obituary

Florence Hall Sasada (Flo), 92 of Crystal River, FL gained her angel wings Sunday, October 22, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 26, 1930, in Baltimore, Md., to the late Harry and Thelma Hall. She moved to Crystal River, Fl from Selbyville, DE in 1976.

She volunteered several years with the Women of the Moose in Crystal River along with her husband, who was the Administrator of the Moose at that time. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the American Legion Post 155 in Crystal River. She lived a very active life and was still playing her bingo at 92 years old.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Bernard M. Sasada, Sr., her son, Bernard (Bud) Sasada, Jr, (5) sisters, Thelma Harnsberger, Ethel Roper, Hazel Ruffini, Doris Parks, Mary Gisriel, (4) brothers, Raymond Hall, Charles (Hap) Hall, James Hall, Harry Hall, Jr. She is survived by her loving sister Linda Wackford (Loren), her daughter-in-law Chris Sasada and her loving children, Paul Sasada, Mike Sasada (Kim), Dee Jones (George) and Joan Gerrits (Ed). Grandchildren, Leslie Carey (Donnie) Lisa Browne (Van) Jeff Sasada (Sara), Kevin Sasada, Steven Sasada, Joey Sasada, EJ Gerrits (Jessica) and Katie Ritli (Jon) and 15 Great-Grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Lloyd Bertine at 2 PM on Friday October, 27th at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Crystal River, FL. Visitation will be from 1 PM until service time. Interment will follow the service at the Crystal River Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory, Crystal River, FL. In lieu of flowers please make donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
