Age 76, of Dayton, OH, formerly of Buffalo, NY and Muncie, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Ellen was born in Buffalo, NY to the late Lawrence V. Whistler Jr. and Betty M. (Mueller) Whistler. She graduated from Holy Angels Academy and went on to work at S.B. Whistler and Sons. Her loving and nurturing character will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Ellen is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Michael Maggiotto, Sr.; her children Florence Vecchione, Michael A. Maggiotto, Jr. (Rebecca), and Melissa Wall (Andrew); 10 grandchildren, 12 brothers and sisters, and many more extended family and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 15 at Routsong Funeral Home 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering, OH 45429 from 3-6 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 6245 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45459 on Monday, December 16 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcomed to the following organizations: the American Cancer Society and your local Hospice.
