Raymond Jung Obituary

Raymond Charles Jung, passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 87. He was born on October 29, 1935, in Baltimore, MD to the late John and Katherine Jung (nee Buehner).

Ray was previously married to the late Una Jung (nee McMahan) for 35 years and raised two daughters. Ray married Margaret Anne Jung in February 1996 and they enjoyed 29 happy years together.

Ray graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1953 and earned his B.S. in Engineering from Johns Hopkins University in 1966.

Ray spent his whole career with the mechanical contracting firm, The Poole and Kent Company, in Baltimore, MD starting in an entry level position as a steamfitter apprentice and rising to his final position of Executive Vice President, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary.

Ray is survived by his wife, Margaret Anne Jung, his daughters, Lisa Jung-King and Dianne Jung Sothoron, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren and a sister, Katherine Garrity. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, one brother, John Jung Jr., and a sister, Hilda Faulkner.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, December 16 at 11 am at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church, 307 Federal St, Milton, DE with a Celebration of Life following. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.stjohnthebaptistmilton.org/worship-services.html
